Welcome to The Whippoorwill Lodge, where history and adventure come together! Established nearly 90 years ago, our lodge, boat ramp, boat slips, and tackle shop have been a cornerstone of Lake Talquin’s fishing scene. While we may not have quite the longevity of Coca Cola, we proudly hold the title of the oldest Lake Talquin fishing camp still welcoming guests today.
Over the decades, countless anglers and outdoor enthusiasts have enjoyed their stays here, and while many things have evolved, the nostalgic charm of our original cabin endures. We like to think it casts a sense of relaxed excitement, creating the perfect atmosphere for your getaway.
Alongside our clean, comfortable lodge house, you’ll find that the conveniences of our fishing camp, rich history, and picturesque setting all contribute to a memorable Lake Talquin experience. Join us and discover why our little slice of the past remains a favorite destination for outdoor adventure.
The lakefront lodge accommodates 2-12 adventure-seeking guests. The entire lodge with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens comfortably sleeps 5-12 guests. Plenty of boat slips, too.
For smaller groups, we offer two private lodge house wings. The Sunrise is a two bedroom, two bath cabin and the lakefront Sunset cabin is a 3/2.

With vaulted ceilings and an open-concept design, these cottages exude a sense of spaciousness and comfort. It’s not your typical fish camp cabin—it’s an ideal retreat where relaxation and adventure meet.
